Better Lucky Than Good
I saw this couple holding hands in Bryant Park, NYC and was struck by the intimacy of their embrace. I asked if I could take a photo. They agreed and I fired off two quick shots. It was not until I processed the photo that I saw how the shadow replicated the lines of their hands. I also did not notice how his tattoo mirrored the design of his shirt. To me the photo is a good example of symmetry and patterns. It captures emotion without showing their faces. I wish I had their information to share the photo with them.
