Early Morning

I like to walk around downtown Durham early in the morning, the light and long shadows are appealing for black and white photos. The streets are mostly empty; maybe someone walking to their office or carrying a cup of coffee. One morning I happened to catch this man as he approached a closed door, perhaps showing up to his employment. I saw him and he saw me. I stopped and quickly took maybe one or two shots. The sidewalk and three doors lead the eye to my subject. There is just enough light to illuminate his face. I like the tones of the brick wall, and the two lights shining down. This is an interesting photo to me, I hope you enjoy it as well.
